If you are new to Minecraft, you should know the basic controls, like going into third-person mode.
There are times when a person’s view won’t always be helpful. Or you might want to enjoy the biome you are in. From the third person’s perspective, the camera is behind the player, giving you a better worldview.
So here is a quick guide on how to change your camera view to third-person in Minecraft.
3rd Person View in Minecraft: How to Enter
By pressing the F5 key on your keyboard, you can quickly switch to the third person in Minecraft. This is the quickest method for shifting views on a PC.
Console players, on the other hand, have it equally simple. By pressing the left joystick, most console players can enter third-person mode.
For PS3, PS4, and PS5 gamers, that is L3. And Left Stick supports Nintendo Switch, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Bedrock edition users. If it doesn’t work, check your controller settings, as you might have unintentionally modified them.
Finally, you must modify your view in Settings if you are using an Android or iOS mobile device to play.
- Open the settings while the game is paused.
- Set the camera perspective to “Third Person Back” in the Video section.
A Third-Person front was another option. If you want to return to your default settings, change them to first person. For third-person rear, third-person front, and first-person views on PC, press F5 once, twice, and three times, respectively.
Therefore, for console users, L3 or the Left Stick should function the same. Keep in mind that your character will always look in the direction of your cursor whenever you are playing in the third person.
