  • Authentic Bedrock Edition of Minecraft that is linked to your Microsoft account.
  • Consistent Internet access (a wired connection is recommended).
  • membership to Xbox Live Gold or Ultimate for the Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S.
  • The server and game version must be compatible.

To add and join Minecraft servers on Xbox, follow the instructions below:

  • Launch Minecraft Bedrock first, then click Play on the home screen.
  • On top, click the Servers tab in the far right corner.
  • The featured servers can be found in the left pane as soon as you select the Servers tab.
  • To join any of the featured servers, choose the join server option. For a faster connection, join the Bedrock server with a lower ping rate.
  • Scroll to the bottom and select Add Server if you wish to join any other custom server.
  • When adding an external server, a dialog will ask you for the server’s name, address, and port.
  • Unless the owner or manager of the server specifies otherwise, you should set the server port to 19132.
  • Press the Play button to connect to the server once you have supplied the server address and name.
  • You can also choose to save the custom server to your list of servers and play it later by clicking the Save button.
